Skill point max?
I realised I currently have 99 skill points unspent.. and I'm wondering if I've been "losing" points because 99 is the max. -.- I.. just kinda forgot about them for awhile.

No 99 definitely isn't the max. My Paragon currently has 442 unspent ones. And am sure there are people with more.
Edit: and i doubt there is a max. |

the max would be a bunch more 9's if it even exists. like 999999 or something ;-)

the max is probably the max integer value, which is about 2 billion

I'd disagree with this. The number of skill points is stored in a certain amount of space that Anet allocates it, which would probably be 2^something.

I agree with the integer theory. It is most likely stored in an integer variable which maxes out just over 2b.

Actually, it's quite possible that the skill points could be stored as a simple 2-byte value - that still comes out to 65,535 though.
(It's definitely more than 256.) |

It's actually one million (or 1,000 platinum.)
There would be a theoretical limit of 1,048,576 using the same byte-space, to coin a phrase, but 1 mil is a nice, round number.

Nitpicking: 16,777,216(-1) would fit in same byte-space considering currently popular 8bit=1byte design.
